Last night, I had just logged into my PC (Xp sp 2), when the screen went black. I reset, then shutoff and back on, but it just said "no signal." I've tried everything. The board does have an internal VGA, but it doesn't work with that either. I took out my video card, then tried connecting to the internal, but nothing. The CPU fan spins, the hard drives spin, the RAM check goes, but without video, I really can't see or do anything. The keyboard does not light up, nor does it make any beeps when I turn it on. I have cleared the CMOS as well.

Is my motherboard fried or could something else be wrong? I just installed this motherboard, CPU and new case with power supply in August.

Could be M/B, CPU, or power. Sounds like low voltage supply may have died. Without voltmeter or scope it is hard to tell.

I have one at home. I'll see if it's giving any juice.

Check your manual and see what it says about your internal video, wether there is a mobo jumper for it or not.
Also, bios has to be set to either recognize onboard pci video or separate video card, but at this point you cant access the bios, right?

No I can't access the bios, but it had been working for 6 months, then just stopped. I suspect it may have something to do with the extra power supply on the motherboard. I had the same issue using my old case that didn't have enough power to supply the new P4 board. After I got the new case, with the new power supply, it started working. Now it's back to not working.

Any chance you could get your hands on another pci video card and try that? Its worth a shot, although we should be trying to diagnose what caused the other 2 video methods to fail.

After trying a different power supply, then taking out all the components, it turns out that the firewire card I had in there was causing the whole issue. If I take just that card out, everything works, video, everything. I guess I'm going to take it back.
