For someone in a support role, would taking the MOS (MOUS) courses help in any way? Do you have to complete all exams (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Project) before becoming certified or can you just take specific ones and become MOS Qualified in that field?

Thanks for any advice. Lamaar75@hotmail.com

You'll find the MOS certification details here: Be sure to print out the exam objectives for the exams you wish to take. If you are going to take the Word and/or Excel expert level exams, print out a copy of both the core and expert level exam objectives. You don't have to take the core exam to take the expert exam, but you do want to make sure you have mastered all of the core proficiencies even if you don't take the core exam.

I can't answer your question with regard to MOS classes, as I didn't go this route, but I found the study guides at to be enormously helpful.

Whichever way you decide to study, I think you'll find it beneficial. Before studying for the exams, I would have told you that I was very proficient in all of them. What I found out, though, was that I was very good at what I knew how to do, but that each of the Office programs contained lots of features that I knew little or nothing about.
