Morning all,

I have a paging question.
We have a CS1000M and a CS1000E connected to one another via TIE trunk.
I have paging trunks set up on the CS1000M.
Extensions on the CS1000M can use the ACOD to access paging.(no problems)
I am looking for Extensions on the CS1000E to be able to use the same paging system.

I can dial the ACOD from CS1000E to get to the CS1000M switch but can't figure out how to get that trunk to transfer the call to the paging trunks on the 1000M.

I have tried to dial the ACOD from the CS1000E to the CS1000M and then enter the ACOD that accesses the paging trunks but get a fast busy.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

If you are using CDP to call from the 1000E to the M then put the paging ACOD in the E and program it as a trunk steering code. The busy is probably coming from a TGAR or TARG setting

besides the Targ/Tgar that KCFLHRC mentioned there is also a setting in the paging route data block -------------NACC (network access control)
change it from restricted PGNR to uncontrolled----PGNU

I have created a:
CDP
TSC
30010 over the TIE trunks from the 1000E to the 1000M.
Targ set to 0
I am still getting dead air for about 10 seconds or immediately if I end the string with a #.
When I do the trace from the phone set on the 1000E this is what I see:
DIAL DN 30010
MAIN_PM DIAL AUX_PM NARS_CALL
TALKSLOT NONE
EES_DATA:
NONE
QUEU NONE
CALL ID 0 34749

If I dial the ACOD from the 1000M it connects to the paging and works fine.
This is what I see on it's trace.

Any other ideas?

The TIE Trunks cold have a TARG on them preventing this
