I got past the previous hurdle but now i have another issue. I have been told to use trunk type E&M on the the 24 lines of T-1 off of the DTM. They are all set to wink start for signaling. now on my target lines i have one set to the dnis number specified with the test 800 #. I can dial out from any phone but when i try to call in it is always busy. One line of the attendant phone is set for that targeted line and if you hit it says incoming only. I have tried changing some configurations around and i got all calls to come in on the physical lines on the DTM but i was told that was wrong and that the calls should come in on the target line. I am actually a cisco academy educated person so some of these Bcm things have thrown me for a loop. I would apreciate any advice possible. Thank You and have a good weekend.

are u dialing out on the T1?
is the 800# directed to one of your DIDs

I have each of my DTM physical lines set to E&M and for the dnis # I have yes. On the Target lines I only have the first one set to receive the dnis 486 of the 800 # xxx-xxx-x486. This is what I was told to do but it is not working. hopefully this will help you help me. Thank you.

first verify the dnis being sent and that its 3 or 4 digits long then try changing trunks from auto answer to manual or visa versa

7 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

I tried changing the answer mode and it did not appear to make a difference and the line was still busy when called it. I am wondering if I need to change my trunk type back to D I D from E & M which I was advised to stay at E & M. I have changed this before and my calls started coming in on the DTM lines instead of on target lines. As anyone could tell I am having alot of trouble with what should be fairly simple. I will continue to try anything you folks can give me and I am very appreciative of all your efforts. Thanks

Do the same troubleshooting procedure as you would on a cisco equipment - a T1 is a T1
