I would like to have a text box on my form which grabs data and puts it in a different table to the table that the form is bound to. But on the properties for the text box I notice that I can only stipulate the control source of the current table. Is there a way to get the text box to ask for a different row source?

Thanks
Guy

Hi

No, but you could work around it by making the control unbound, and putting code in the after update event of the control to update the table, something like

DoCmd.RunSQL "UPDATE ....etc"

see also DoCmd.SetWarnings True/False in help, to suppress Access warning messages when running SQL via DoCmd.RunSQL
