More than one dc, how to stop them from loadballancing

We have more than one domain controller and want to use only the first one for all our users to logon in. And is there also a way of disabeling loadballincing between them ?

The others should only act when our main dc is gone.

Can you please give me response ?

Our dc's are win2003 and win 2008.

Not sure why you'd want to do that, but go into AD Sites & Services, define another site, with a dedicated subnet (that no user workstations are on). Put the "standby" DC into that subnet.
