Hello:

I am new to Crystal 11, but I have been using Crystal 8.5 for many years. I have a Paradox database that has been working great, but alas, our customers are now using newer versions of Crystal, so I must adjust.

I took an older version 8.5 and reset the data locations and verified the database. When I preview the report however, I get no data. I opened the database expert and made sure the links are still proper. However when I exit that window I get a pop up that says "More than one datasource or stored procedure has been used in this report. Please make sure that no SQL Expression is added and no server-side group by is performed". Is this message relevant to my report, or is it a generally benign error?

So, I created a new report with 3 data tables that are designed to be linked. When I add the description field of the main data table, works great. But when I start grouping, I begin losing data.

Since I am so new to Crystal 11, has anyone experienced the same thing? Where should I be looking?

Thanks.

You might want to go to database->set location and make sure that only one driver is in play.

Well, the plot thickens. Had a colleague try on his copy of Crystal XI and he got the same results. I have 2 Paradox databases and they are linked through a number field. I checked to make sure outer join was selected in the linking options, and it didn't make a difference. Colleague got the same results. HOWEVER, if he repeated this process in his copy of Crystal 10, it worked properly. Is anyone aware of any issues with Crystal 11 and Paradox databases?

Please go to database->show SQL query and copy the query (from the XI version) and paste it into this thread.

Show SQL Query is greyed out, BUT I found the solution. I had to upgrade to SP4 to get it to work. (Go figure!! :) ) Thanks for your help!
