Hi There!
I am trying to connect to both an Oracle database and an ODBC, Access Database.
I can now connect to both of them but I get the error, "More than one database driver has been used in this report. If you want to change the database drivers use Database/Set Location. Also, please make sure that no SQL Expression is added and no server-side group-by is performed."
I do have MSSQLServer installed on my workstation and that is when I had the problem with the Oracle Database. But, I cannot connect to the Access Database without it installed and I do need both.
Any help is appreciated. I will need details, however, as I am not educated in this area.
TIA,
Micky

Do you just get this message when changing linking or doing other work in the database expert? Or do you get the msg when running the report?

When I close out of Data Explorer, it brings me into visual linking expert. I click "OK" and I get the error msg.
Thanks,
Micky

Hi,
That message is more of a warning than an error;
as long as you follow the advice("...please make sure that no SQL Expression is added and no server-side group-by is performed.") it should work.
The problem may come in having the linked fields be different data types, or 'seen' as different types,
but if you did not get a warning message when creating the link, it should be OK.
You didn't mention if the report worked.

I cannot link a new table. Everything is greyed out and I get another error msg saying I cannot link this type. I had to reinstall crystal and now it is working properly. I think when the ODBC was added for Access it changed my original Oracle connection. With Crystal reinstalled, it is working properly now.

I was thinking along the same lines as Turkbear; I think the warning was unrelated to the actual problem of adding more tables (overwritten drivers?). Like he said, this warning does not necessarily mean that things won't work, you just need to be cautious about additional linking.
