The way I've been doing pages now, I have a header & footer and main page....if I wanted to have another, say, called menu, how and where do I insert it? Also, if anyone out there knows of a good site that explains the basics of the coding involved with including headers/footers/etc, that would be great. I've been basically following a template but would love to know how to change it. Any ideas?

well if you have SSI or php or asp on your server then this is not to hard

in php

<? include ('file.htm') ?>

SSI or asp

<# include virtual="file.htm" #> [Hammer]

Thanks.....I've been using php, and I've been able to follow a template that someone had set up, so I have the 3 parts, header, footer, and index pages. What if I wanted to add another page called 'menu' that would load on the left side of the page...where would I put the include (file). At the top of the index page? The bottom? In the middle?

Thanks

it would depend how your page is built out

why dont you post your page code...but essentially if you have a table on the left the you would insert your include for the menu in that cell [Hammer]
