Funny how ironic this is, but anyways. Thanks for the last answer, I wonder why, I know the processor isn't too slow, maybe my sound card just sucks.

So, my new problem. I'm sitting at work, everything fine, then all of the sudden, sound stops working on my system, it isn't muted or anything of that nature, it just isn't working. I've tried rebooting, loading a last good configuration and getting a new driver, but nothing is working.

Any ideas?

Turn the speakers on...lol

See if you have any loose connections or if a fuse has gone.

I have this kind of experience :

I have modify the speakers a little bit : I solder longer wires inbetween the speakers and the computer and I have to use a phone jack from an electronic store. The one I bought cannot plug in as well as the original one and the sound level drop drastically (should they have the same spec. ????). This may be your problem : badly plugged or connected wires.

Check if all wires are properly connected in the sound card.
Also check if you have a headphone connected on the speakers. If so than disconnect it.
