One of my users recently had a problem with her HP OfficeJet 600. The issue was with the color cartridge, but before I had her go out & buy an new cartridge, I had her reinstall the driver on her local machine and I reinstalled the driver on the server. (Windows 2000 / MF 8.1)

Buying the new cartridge ended up being the solution to the problem, BUT now we have a new problem.

Every time she prints through metarame she gets a separator page that says something like: "@ PJL ENTER LANGUAGE=PCL"

This does not happen when she prints locally. I just reinstalled a fresh driver and checked all the settings I could think of...

Where is that dang paperless office they keep promising us?!!!

Any ideas would be appreciated by me, my user, and all of the trees we are killing ;-)

Hi
It sounded like a printer's driver problem.
I would get the user to logon an NT session on a particular Citrix server, I will check the printer's driver from that Citrix server, see what eaxctly the driver is. I would get the user to try prining something to regenerate the symptom. I will try changing the driver for that printer from the Citrix server (Do this by , on the server, open the Printers folder, look at the Properties of the printer as autocreated for that user's session) and change the driver. If it is using PCL, I would try to change it to PS. You will need to have the drivers installed on the Citrix server. Get the use to try printing again. If you are lucky you will find the driver that works. If you did, edit the WTSPRN.inf (in system32 folder) for this printer to use the working driver when connecting to the Citrix server.
Just another thing to try.
Good luck

I agree with tk36 - this looks like a driver mapping issue.

In MetaFrame XP FR1 and 2, don't edit the wtsuprn.inf file, because all mapping data is held in the Data Store. This file is edited via the Printer Mapping feature in the CMC.

I hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk
