I have an SQL Server 200 Box with 2 gig or ram and
4 Processors.
What I would like to do is move tasks from some of our
databases to other boxs. That is some of the heavier
stored procs should be on a seperate server.
Firstlt is this possible.
And secondly if so are there any issues.

Are you talking about other SQL Servers or Network servers? It may be possible to run certain tasks on other SQL Servers though it probably won't yield much performance improvement if the the data is still being updated on the main SQL Server. In fact, performance will likely degrade.

Moveing tasks to another network server may not be possible at all. It depends on the task. Again, this won't yielld much improvement because the SQL procedures will still run on the same SQL server.

If I've misunderstood your question, please clarify what you are considering by providing more details. Terry L. Broadbent - DBA
