I have yet more problems with Outlook 2000 and the email rules. We have 2 users who leave thier PC's on over night to collect emails sent from the US. Both users have a set of client side rules which are run when a new mail arrives. However, in the morning, they are presented with the following error message:

"Rules in error.
Rule: Server-Requested Client Action. Error: MoveCopy, Unable to create dest msg."

From that point on, no messages are sorted when they arrive. I can't find a problem because I then run the rules manually, they work fine and all emails are sorted into the correct folders.
The Exchange server is constantly conected, recieving mail 24 hours a day (they don't all arrive at the same time) and the user's PC's have 24 hour network connection so I know that isn't the problem.
I have been through the rules making sure that when a rule is applied to a message, no other rules are applied to that message.

Is any one able to help??

Thanks

Does this always happen? Is it possible that a backup or something is going on at night that locks some server side resource for a time and causes the glitch?

The two rules for success are:
1. Never tell them everything you know.

Thanks for the reply rjkrash, your comments got me thinking that it might be a server side problem and not with Outlook.
I've just searched Micrsoft's Knowledge Base and it appears to be a problem with Exchange Server 5.5 which can be resolved with the latest service pack.

thanks agaon
