More on Sony's DRM

It appears that Sony may also be using another DRM program besides First4Internet’s XCP DRM.

What few people realize is that Sony uses another copy protection program, SunnComm’s MediaMax, on other discs in their catalog

A MediaMax developer's webpage describes Perfect Placement to potential clients like Sony as an e-commerce revenue generation "feature of dynamic on-line and off-line banner ads."

It now appears that you can defeat Sony's DRM with scotch tape.

Makes a change from using a marker pen on every other DRM cd that has session 2. Of course this only works outside the US, doing so may be illegal in the US so I wouldn't recommend this course of action, best go buy an assault rifle, much more legal and safe!

I'm off to practise Archery, wouldn't want to fall foul of UK laws.
