Hi all,

Having a bit of a problem with layout on my website:-

The big image on the right hand side is supposed to be flush with the grey line at the top. However the <br clear:left /> I used to create the next row of thumbnails has also affected the large image.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Toby

That is a perfectly correct behaviour you're seeing. I would suggest you go about it differently, separating the pictures for the thumbnails and the picture that is actually just a design feature. As an alternative, you can load this picture as a background and use padding not to overlap it with text and other stuff.

Thanks a lot for your response Vragabond.

Do you mean set it as the background of the container DIV?

Is there no way of laying out the thumbnails without affecting the big image, but still leaving it floating to the right?

I would like the thumbnails to appear in a tabular format on the left hand side. Would the use of tables still be deprecated for this application?

Thanks again,
Toby
