Hi everybody,

I have a information question for user of IWR.

I read a description of IWR on cognos site and I understand that's solution can deploy the reports on the web without Impromptu client version. Is it exact?

Is it easy to install and use as cognos says? What's happen with a prompt in the report, how does it appear to end user? Is it easy to use with cognos macro script? End user can be change report apparance like order or grouping (I think so no but it's maybe possible)?

Any other comments (advantage and desavantage)?

Thank's in advance.

Gilles.

Reports for IWR are created in Impromptu Admin and delivered to the user via a web server running IWR, installation and configuration whilst not always straight forward, isn't that difficult.

Prompts within reports are handled by IWR using xml to prompt the user for input when required (all types of prompts are supported)

IWR doesn't support the use of macro script in any way.

My personal opinion is that IWR is still clunky and feel that development will be minimal by Cognos with the introduction of Reportnet. IMHO
