Hi
I'm comfortable with Monk, having used it with Datagate 3.6.2. I'm in the process of converting to egate 4.5.2, and found it fairly easy to use monk.
However, I'm wondering if there are any advantages to using java instead? Can you have both running on the same machine at the same time? I'd rather not have to learn java, but if there are great benefits, say in performance or functionality, I'd be interested in giving it a shot.
Thanks.

Hi

There are lot of reasons using JAVA

1) From 4.5.x onwards SeeBeyond is cocentrating & trying to make everything Java Enabled
2) Any updations or adding new features are to be done only in Java but not Monk
3) Better performance with Connection Points
4) Multiple Input and Output Events

And more

Cons
1) Cannot connect to databases like oracle 7.x only solution Monk

Hope this is atleast convincing saying that migrating to Java version is must
