Anyone got any suggestions/recommendations as to tools to use to monitor the ongoing performance of Citrix/Windows TSE 4.0?

At the very least, we'd like to be able to identify patterns of usage over a period of time together with applications being run and number of users.

Thanks.

Two spring to mind;

Citrix Resource Management Services and Lakeside's Systrack.

Resource Manager, which comes with MetaFrame XPe and not, sadly, as a separate product, has a Summary Database in Feature Release 2, which monitors all manner of ICA specific functions and keeps a historical database similar to that you describe.

I understand that Systrack performs a similar function. A 14-day demo is available from Lakeside.

RM and CRMS are both based on the original Systrack product, so expect lots of similarities. CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

And if you don't want to spend the money. Pick up some perl books. It works well.........

Any suggestions for a basic session monitoring script in Perl, wilwol?

How could we create custom counters and logs that monitored applications within a single ICA session, as per Temps question, for example?

I look forward to your reply
