Monitoring the IMC

Hi -

How can I setup monitoring on the IMC queue. We had a problem recently where the queue had over 200 messages waiting to be delivered (which is not the usual). Can I use the server monitoring to notify me or the logging on the IMC? If it is the logging on the IMC, how can I tell it to notify me and which of those options tells me the queue is backed up?
