I run a site which has a growing number of PDF documents that are downloaded frequently. What I would like to do is to get feedback information - which I would store in a database on my servers - each time the document is printed. I know that Acrobat has built-in JavaScript so perhaps there is some way of doing this? Are there events such as OnLoad associated with an Acrobat doc they would be with the body tag of an HTML document?
I should mention that at the moment I create my PDFs as an export from Open Office Write - which I find does an excellent job. Will I have to move to Acrobat to do more?
I would much appreciate any help. I don't want to get side tracked into Acrobat programming in a big way so links to any step-by-step tips to doing what I am after would be great.
