Anyone out there found a way to monitor print queues effectively? I've been playing with Windows 2003 Print Management and it would be perfect, however the notification feature does not work. What I was trying to accomplish is setting up a notification via email if Queue Status displays Error.

There's some good third party applications that should be able to help. Most of them will intigrate into Active Directory or workgroups depending on your network.

Google for print que management or print que monitoring. You'll find some good products.

Hope this helps

Good Luck!

If you get the chance. Check out the free online demo for VPSX print server. It's the first link I posted in my last post. I think it's exactly what you're looking for.

I took a look at the VPSX product and I don't like it. I really like the Microsoft print que management. I just wish the email feature would work...
