Hi,
I have a Cisco 3640 with ISDN BRI as backup to the primary leased circuits. The ISDN has been configured using dialer profiles.
The problem I am facing is that I am trying to monitor ISDN connectivity using the ifOperStatus value (OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.X). The value of the ifOperStatus is 5 when the ISDN is dormant, and it becomes 2 when active. Now this is fine if i monitor the B channels. However since I have multiple dialer interfaces configured to dial via this one BRI port to multiple locations, i really cannot determine as to which location am i dialing into. Also when u look at the MIB for the dialer interfaces - the value of the ifOperstatus remains 5, even if ISDN connectivity has been established.
I would be grateful if someone would tell me which MIB variables of the dialer interface changed values when ISDN in connected, and the dialer interface is bound to the physical BRI port.
I am using Whats up Gold to create graphical map of the interface status.
Thanks in advance
