Hi,

I'm looking for a way to monitor an array of phones - like a computer switchboard. How would you do that?

What kind of phone system do you have? On alot of systems produced today have that feature and is included and just needs to be activated through programming. Older systems do require a purchase of auxillary equipment to make this work as Skip555 said.

We all need a little help once in awhile. Tony the Phoneman..

re reading your post I think your probably looking for a DSS console

like Tony asked what system do you have ?

Monitor" as in listen to (silent observing unit), or "monitor" as in see the status of so you know who is on the line (DSS Console)? Two very different applications.

Then, just because you through 'switchboard' in there, you could also be wanting to monitor them for activity and answer them - you could also do this with a DSS console depending on how busy the phone lines are.

Like everyone else said - we need to know more about your environment and your application in order to give the right answer.

Hi, sorry I've been so slow to answer!

My environment is a CS 1000. I am trying to setup a "busy lamp" system for this using C#.

Do you know whether or not that's possible using SIP? For CS 1000?
