Hi

I´m lookink to monitoring dsl Bri´s in the switch, CS1000 rel 5.5...In old versions, the command

setm omsg 12 0 3 7

it´s good.

When I put this comand, the switch return point but the "set mon" command return

.stat mon

MSGO DIS FOR AML
DIS FOR ELAN
MSGI DIS FOR AML
DIS FOR ELAN
PACO DIS FOR AML
DIS FOR ELAN
PACI DIS FOR AML
DIS FOR ELAN
.
Any idea?

Thanks...

I had fun and games with this last week. Most of the programming is done in LD 48. Here are some tips below, but I can't remember which one started the messaging!.

BRI Monitor switch on from Release 5 onwards

ENL MON TTY in LD 96 to view and monitor BRI messages in overlay 48

Details:
Unable to see BRI messaging in load 48 after using the SETM IMSG ( TN ) MON 0 and SETM OMSG (TN) MON 0
on a release 5.50J switch.
Fix:
In Overlay 96 ensure that ENL MON TTY is set. This will allow you to see BRI messaging in overlay 48
Commands used:
LD 48:
SETM IMSG ( TN of SILC ) MON 0
SETM OMSG (TN of SILC ) MON 0
LD96:
STAT MON
TRACE OUTPUT
DCH LOG : OFF
DCH TTY : OFF
ENL MON TTY

MISP and SILC location with CS1000 rls 5

When upgrading an Option 11C cabinet or chassis system to rls 5, make sure that any BRI SILCs are in the same cabinet as the associated MISP before performing the upgrade.

BRI messaging between MISP and SILC cannot be carried over the IP links between cabinets at rls 5

How to put BRI monitor on in LD 48.

BRI Signalling Monitor:
Overlay LD-48 command (old)
SETM MISP <misp No> MNT
SETM TN1 <DSL TN>
SETM BRIM 30
Output example:
MISP 12 (1) DU I: 618058 <---- message into MISP from DSL
0040 0002 0381 0484 0001 0017 0004 0003
0080 0090 00a3 006c 0003 0080 0093 0059
006d 0005 00a0 0031 0032 0033 0034 007c
0003 0080 0090 00a3 007d 0002 0091 0081
• BRI Signalling Monitor:
From Rlse 22 onwards:
Overlay LD-48 command (new)
SETM TN1 <DSL TN>, then one of the following:
SETM BRIM MSG <--- to monitor and decode both OMSG/IMSG
SETM BRIM OMSG <--- to monitor and decode OMSG only
SETM BRIM IMSG <--- to monitor and decode IMSG only
SETM BRIM FFFF <--- To reset the new command back to old
• BRI Signalling Monitor: Decoded output example (New)

INC MSG: DSL: 4 0 1 4 SETUP IND REF: 0D USID: 00 TID: 01

LOWCMPT:80 90 A3 <---- low layer compatibility
HICMPT: 91 81 <---- high layer compatibility

You left me crazy. I test all. After I tell you how it turned.

Thank

Hi

I has tested your manual, but I don´t see any traces. You know how reset all comands and restart?
When I put stat mon in ld 96, I can see

.stat mon
TRACE OUTPUT
DCH LOG : OFF
DCH TTY : ON
ACTIVE TRACES

what am I doing wrong?
Thanks

In LD 48 key in SETM BRIM FFFF

This will reset the bri back to normal.

Stay in LD 48 and do the following below

SETM TN1 <DSL TN>,
SETM TN0 <DSL TN>, then one of the following:
SETM BRIM MSG <--- to monitor and decode both OMSG/IMSG
SETM BRIM OMSG <--- to monitor and decode OMSG only
SETM BRIM IMSG <--- to monitor and decode IMSG only

Stay in LD 48 to see if the messaging starts (NOT LD 96!)

OK.

I´m Sorry. The command are perfect. The problem was that I program the switch for the TTY 7, and the monitorized was for the tty 0.

Sorry all the peolple, and thanks for the lessons.
