monitor unix syslog

I'm currently trying to monitor some unix syslogs by forwarding them from the unix machine to the MOM machine.
But I'am not quite sure how to set up the MOM machine to receive these logs.

So far I have created a Rule Group and an Event Rule called syslogs.

Any suggestion on how to get information from the unix machine?
