Monitor showing black screen

Hey, just wondering if anybody would know what the problem is. I have a few compaq v700 17" monitors and they just display black screens. they turn on no problem and seem to power up... its not the video card as i've tested that aspect of the problem and all is well there, any help would be great.

test them on a different comp, but id say they are dead. if u cant test em, just get rid of em.

the fact that they power up doesnt say anything, because if the cathode-ray tube is fryed the only solution is to replace it, but its costly and definitely not worth it. theres also couple other components that sould malfunction, so id say dont bother.
