Monitor Resolution Defective

I have a laptop that is docked into a station with a monitor/keyboard, etc plugged in.

When I booted this morning, the resolution on the monitor is showing 800x600, even though it is set to 1024x768. When the laptop is booted on it's own, it does show the correct resolution. Using a different monitor also works fine.

I have updated drivers and tried various settings for the monitor to no avail. I also tried a reset to factory settings on the monitor controls.

Anyone have ideas?

Can you hook the monitor to another computer? If the ONLY defect is that particular monitor, I would suspect the controller board in the monitor itself.
