Hi,

I have a Ibm LCD 17" plugged on a kvm switch. When I'm trying to log on one of those server I have the "Out of Range" error on my screen and the monitor light become amber.

I'm pretty sure that the error is caused by the refresh rate but I'm not sure.

Yes that is probably the refresh rate. You'll need to hook another monitor up to that server directly and set the refresh to something the monitor can handle (60hz is pretty universal, but can "strobe" when viewed under flourescent lights).

Thank you Lawnboy.. my problem is solved...

If you don't have a spare monitor, you can usually reboot while the KVM is set to that particular server, and it may (depending on the OS) re-detect the monitor and go back to the default values (usually 60Hz for compatibility reasons).
