monitor password 1

Hi All.

Something very strange has happened, and I can't figure out why.

I went to open Monitor for a site, and when I go to connect, it says "invalid password".
I know I have never changed the password from, you know, the p word, but it wont' take it.
I've tried the system password, security password, admin password, but nothing works.

Which password is it (I thought it was SYS).

If not, what is the easiest way reset it?

I later versions you can connect with the same account as Manager if you set it to connect with HTTP/HTTPS.

Otherwise you can set the Monitor password in Security Settings.

On newer versions (>9.1 I think) you are asked to change the default system password during initial setup. So it can't be the p word.

It can use the system password but it can also be set to have its own separate monitor password. This password and enabling it can be found in the security settings. As stated thought you can use the Administrator password if you change to HTTP.

They did not start making you change passwords till R11 actually.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
