monitor only blanks when loading windows?1? 1

really getting a strong dislike for my machine. Now its video problems. I've got an ATi a.i.w. 32mb card. was working fine until i needed to partition & format a couple of HDD's. upon installing 98se, right after windows loads its programs (assuming all in dos mode)and right before the opening screen comes on to continue loading (assuming in G.U.I.) my monitor blanks and it doesnt come back. rebooted. comes back. load windows. works fine. right before the rest of install comes on...darkness. tried XP. started loading frrom boot. XP installs drivers & such but same thing, right before graphic town hits the screen. swapped same card with working system (my wifes...SHHHHHHH) it did it on her system. so it definately is the card. does ATi suddenly dislike graphics? or ?????? hope to hear from someone soon! as for me, i best replace wifes card b4 she needs to get online. thanks.

Don't ATI offer a 3 year warranty on there graphics cards??
I should get online and write a few Emails mate!

didn't know it was three years. somehow, can't find documentation (just the empty box) thanks. i'll check it out.
