Hello,
HP 533w, when I power up the monitor and PC, then monitor shows 3" of black strip on each side of the windows desktop and the top and bottom are stretched out of sight and the visible part of the desktop is blurry. When I go in to the monitor menu, the width is already 100% and the height is already 0%. I've manually adjusted the picture as best I can. Do you think this is a video card issue or the monitor itself?

Thanks

Sounds like a monitor problem, but to be on the safe side, can you hook your monitor to another computer and see if it behaves the same?

Also try changing your display settings in windows.
See if that changes anything. Fiddle with the resolutions and maybe even the refresh rates.

Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

how does it look if you go into the bios? Normally a good test, if it still looks iffy it's probably the monitor if it looks fine try and reinstall the drivers and play with the settings.
