Monitor keeps going to standby

I have a PC which monitor keeps on going to standby then when you move the mouse it comes back on. I looked at the power managment, and the display properties and the standby feature is not switched on, is there anywhere else I can try?

Could be the monitor itself - does it have it's own menu (New Samsung models have some quite detailed hardware options).

Try the menu on the monitor if no options are there i would also look in the bios.

Even though the power management says it is not on make sure the System standby, Turn off monitor and Turn off hard drive are set to never. Try setting the Power Scheme to Always on and set everything to never.
