Need some help here..

Monitor screen looks like a an hour glass with black on outer ends.. Display the full screen but compressed.... Menu for screen will not adjust horizontal but will adjust vertically...have adjust the hertz...tried to reinstall the driver from device manager but stalls... any suggestions?

Thanks

That is what is known as the "Pincushion" effect. There should be an option on your monitors setting to adjust that. If you do not see it, look for advanced settings of some sort. What type of monitor is it?

If it is a slight distortion (1 to 1.5 inch), it may be adjustable. If it covers the whole screen, it is a shorted winding on the "yoke". Since todays yokes are epoxied to the CRT at the factory, not fixable. Actually, not economical to fix.

Enkryted... I have already done this. it may say technicaluser but.... BTW NONE of the adjustments that are mentioned above are working.....

micker377... it is about 1" on both side but does not affect the top or bottom... this sounds like what is going on.. i had consider it but was hoping that it was not... anyway to fully test??
