Monitor does not come up - No Green Light ????

Hello,
not quite sure if this is the right forum, but here is my problem. I have a monitor (DataTrain DC630), whenever I turn it on, I can hear the usual sound, but the green light does not come up. The screen stays black with no activity whatsoever.


Do I still have a chance of getting this monitor working ?
It's only 5 years old, so it should work

Does the light turn to amber, or is completely off? If it turns amber it's in standby mode meaning a probable video card problem. Biffo, the Godfather of making mistakes in life. Although, his Tek-Tips answers and questions are no mistakes.

The light stays amber all the time, it never changes to green anymore

... and changed the monitor to my other one, and it works perfectlly, so I'm pretty sure that it's something in the monitor.
