Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to find out the number of client connections into CICS. I am not interested if a user on a PC has more than one connection open, I just need a count of all the users connected. Hope this make sense.

Anybody have any ideas on how this can be done?

What do you actually mean?

HP-UX (unix) to CICS connections? via some type of 3270 emulation? (TELNET) ??.

U could just check your AUTOINSTALL program on the CICS host region and use that as a starting point to put together some logic as to how many "client connections" there are (present - real time).

Or you can CEMT I TERM (inquire on terminal definitions) which is also controlled by AUTOINSTALL

There is also CONNECTION definitions within CICS, which defines a remote system in which your CICS is communicating with via ISC or MRO.

Let me know
