Good afternoon Tech's, I need some assistance. I have 2 locations, NY and NJ offices connected via a 3MB Point to Point.

I am looking to monitor the available bandwidth between this point-to-point because we are looking to implement some video conference.

I have two HP ProCurve 7102dl edge routers connection both locations together. How can I track bandwidth between these locations?

Thank You in advance.

the only way would be to position you analyzer between the router and the internet access device (ie modem).

Since the link is 3 Mb, you can get away with a simple 10/100 hub, but then you should make the router interface detected the duplex as half.

You can use a managable switch and mirror the port to your analyzer

Lastly would be to purchase Tap.

Good luck
