MOM newbie / evaluating

Hi

We are looking at MOM type management solutions. We are currently trying argent guarding and we want to also try MOM. Does anybody know what the implications are of running an evaluation of MOM and then removing it ? Does it make any changes to the active directory etc ?

MOM does not modify the schema, though during the install process you do need to create a few user accounts and assign user rights to some of them, but no schema changes.

As for testing MOM, it is always a good idea to test any new software in the lab to ensure there are no incompatibilities between the agent and other software on the server, as well as to analyze how much network traffic you will have. Once that is done, you should pilot MOM using specific roles of servers first (ie, Domain Controllers, DNS servers, etc.)
