Hi,
Our MOM server is running Windows 2000 Advanced Server Service Pack 3, SQL 2000 Enterprise Edition and MOM Base 2000 Service Pack 1 and is member of a Windows NT domain. It is located in our DMZ however. I know MOM Base 2000 Service Pack 1 communicates over TCP port 1270. Due to security related issues (service account), I think other ports at the level of the Windows NT security model have to be opened as well. Can someone tell me what TCP/IP ports have to be opened on our Firewall to be able monitor our servers on the inside of our network? Does this traffic has to be inbound, outbound or both?
Kind regards,
Werner
