MOH volume too low, especially when in queue for hunt group

Hi there. We have IP Office 500 v2 9.0.5.0 with an external music on hold source. When I dial *34, MOH is loud and clear. When I call in from outside and put the call on hold, MOH volume is much lower than *34, but you can still hear it somewhat. When I call in from outside and am in queue for a hunt group we created, MOH (played between announcements) is lower still; it can barely be heard at all. Any ideas as to why the volume would be so low, particularly when in queue for a hunt group? Thanks in advance.

Just turn it up, so what if it's loud internally, they will never listen to it. But at a guess you have analogue lines, they often sound lower especially if long runs or not impedance matched :)

Also my be quirky if calling from a cell phone.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

Indeed, mobiles/cellphones do noise cancelling tuned to the human voice and it kills off music quite effectively, especially bass and higher pitch stuff :)

Thanks amriddle01 and budbyrd for your replies. Per your suggestion, I tried calling in from a landline and the volume of the hold music/message was dramatically improved, although still a bit low. (Only had a chance to test MOH during hunt group queue so not sure if there is still a volume difference between that and normal hold.) Anyway, I think we will also try boosting the volume at the MOH source per amriddle01's suggestion. Thanks again.
