CUCM 7.1
connected to
Avaya G3 via MGCP PRI T.1's in a 2911 router.

Avaya has Spectel Conference Bridge connected via T.1's.

Problem: Cisco Users putting phones on hold during conference bridges.

Question: Is there a way to stop Cisco MOH from playing on calls going to the Avaya system?

Thanks in advance for any input.

You cannot and the reason is that to cucm is just another outbound call that is put on hold. If it was a native conference to cucm the system would not play MOH but in your case it does not know, it's just another call.
Workarounds:
Turn MOH off in cucm.
Educate the end users not to put a conference call on hold.

They can always mute through the cisco phone or through the Spectel native commands (eg #1 or whatever it may be).

Thanks whykap. I just didn't know if there was a way to turn off moh to that particular gateway or not while leaving all other moh functions intact.
