I don,t work the AT T equipment but i was sent out on one AT T partner 206 ?? ( small basic cab with another cab expanded to it) anyway the MOH doesn't work, they said it used to but it stopped, so they bought new cables and player. There is a 105a coupler on site connected to Xtn 15 on the first cab ( i just found this to be the correct Xtn by looking on the web) anyway the question is, where and HOW do you go into the programming to "turn" MOH on.??

Ok just got some info off the Avaya site, programming from Xtn 10,feature 00, system program (twice) #602 and then follow the overlay as to what "softkeys" to use??

There is a template that is used when programming Partner telephone systems. You will need a blank Desi for the type of telephone @ Ext 10 and either a pencil or a computer-based program to print out the Desi.

After printing the Desi, you lay it over the programmable buttons on the phone, press "Feature 0 0" and begin programming. [smile]

Whats the deal with the MOH coupler (105a) how do you test it to know it's working or is it a case of replacement if the MOH doesn't work? also is it only X15 (bottom port in the first cabinet, right??)

Iv'e never used the 105 a but you should be able to plug it into a jack and then clip on with your butt set to verify output

by cabinet you are speaking of two modules right ?

not a two cabinet system

My guess would be that the nicad batteries in the Partner have died, the customer had a power failure, and the setting for MOH reset itself to default (no MOH)

The adapter is probably OK, you just need to set it for MOH again.

Here's the Overlays:

And the actual instructions:
Programming Music/Tones on Hold

This must be programmed from extension 10.
1. Press [ Feature ] [ 0 ] [ 0 ]. The phone beeps once, and the light next to [ Spkr ] is green flutter.
2. Press left [ Intercom ] twice. The light next to left [ Intercom ] is green steady.
3. Press [ # ] [ 6 ] [ 0 ] [ 2 ]. The Message light is red steady if the current setting is Tones On Hold, red wink if it is Music On Hold, or red flash if it is Not Active.
4. Press [ 1 ] to select Tones On Hold, [ 2 ] to deactivate Music and Tones On Hold, or [ 3 ] to select Music On Hold. The Message light changes to show the new setting.
5. If you make a mistake, begin again at Step 3.
6. When you are finished, press [ # ] and a three-digit code for another option or press [ Feature ] [ 0 ] [ 0 ].

Yes modules not cabs. I'll print off the instructions for the programming and pop by the site to try it , thanks for the help so far.
