We have installed a new cs1000E. I've configured a MOH port using the UTC. (not the Miran) I don't hear music on internal or external calls--this is for all phone types, IP and TDM phones The RDB has my music route, LD 21 has my music route.

If there's no Miran do I still need Music ISMs? I didn't think so. The NTP didn't seem to say so. Here's my SLT anyway...
RAN CON 4 LEFT 0 USED 4
MUS CON 0 LEFT 0 USED 0

Here's the MOH route and TN

What else can it be??

As usual--thanks for the help!

Actually the on site put a toner on the music port (we don't have the actual CD player yet. We're now wondering if we have to wait for the actual music or if using the toner's a good enough test.

Thank you very much for the quick responses...this 1000E has been a beast. Here's my release info in case anyone can help.

You have no MOH licenses.

MUS CON 0 LEFT 0 USED 0

That means no music.

Yeah, I thought it might be that but was hoping the licenses only applied to Miran music.

I wonder why I could program the MOH trunk though if there was no license? With the RAN licenses you can't program the trunk if you require the ISMs and they aren't there.

Thanks all.

Building a route doesn't cost a license, using the route does.

Normally if there's an ISM issue I can't put in the TN. So I built the MUS route, then the Music TN (using the UTC) and it all went in via programming. But I can't get it to work--and am not sure @ this point if I should stop trouble shooting hardware and wait for ISMs. Hate to wait for something I don't need.

Again, no MUS CON = NO Music On Hold, you won't be able to troubleshoot hardware until you actually have the licensing to test with.
