We are moving a system to virtual that multiple MOH sources as analog right now (MiVB latest).
We do have MiCC as well and are using a physical system as a trunking gateway.
Any thoughts as to the best way to get this setup without using uploaded files?

Can I assume you are using tenanting to provide the different music sources to the different tenants?

If so, other than using uploaded .WAV files, the only option you might be able to try is to figure out how to use the Live Music on Hold over IP

@jpruder, don't miss the fact that he is moving to Virtual. Physical MOH is not available.

I am currently testing a cisco SPA 112. Seems to be working so far. Will update if I run into problems.

Thanks,

So far its has been up and running for 3 days no issues although there are a few things to test still:
- As this is not a live setup I need to test firing lots of calls on hold to see the reaction
- We have multiple controllers and there is a note in some of the documentation that if through a queue on a different system answers first it will not play to a person put on hold. - need to test

I set the SIP device capabilities and COS for the ASA to the settings in the SIP COE for the Merbridge system
The Cisco SPA112 I left mostly as default other than setting static IP and VLAN information.

I can see that if you were to manually answer the initial call and connect a moh source, this should work, My question would be can it survive a reboot without intervention?

I did not need to initiate the first call. The system seemed to do that automatically as soon as I added the extension as the external music source.

Thanks,

I know the Mitel will dial the ata, my concern is how the ata answers the call. My assumption was that the Mitel dialed and the call was answered by putting a 600 ohm matching transformer across the ata port to feed audio back. If I'm wrong tell me how this is working. I am wondering if it survives an ata reset or system reboot.
