Hello,

When adding a 2007 word document to livelink, I need to pre-populate some of its fields. Is there an open text module to achieve this?

thank you
fwu

I have seen such a module bundled with the "Transmittals Management" solution called the propwriter module or something similar to that.Almost all java livelink oscript code can call java classes,so if you find a java api that interacts with word that may be another option.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. But to use oscript I think I need a license for the sdk, right?

thank you

Oh I thought you were a programmer,if you ask OT or one of the several partners that work in the livelink eco system you might be able to buy a finished product.Oscript is part of the SDK and is what developers write code to enhance livelink. You need a license as well as some exposure to do that kind of work.
Livelink ships with websvcs now so before adding the document, you could work in a language the MS will allow to interact with word and probably use livelink websvcs to add the document. That would be more easier than going the livelink server route.
