Morning all. I have some data analysis to do and don't want to reinvent the wheel so I thought I would ask to see if anyone knows of any existing module(s) that can do all or part of the job.

I have a large list consisting of a task name(type), with its corresponding start date/time and end date/time. I've calculated the duration for each task now I just want to produce a report splitting the results by task category and a number of time bands e.g
0-4 hrs 4-8 hrs 8-12 hrs 12-24 hrs Over 24 hrs
Task Type A
Task Type B
Task Type C
etc

Doeas anyone know of a useful module for doing something like this?

Wanted to respond so you knew your question was read, but I have no idea of a module for that. It sounds like something I would just write by hand. Do you have any sample data?

What I am currently outputting is the task ID then a number of values representing the length of time the task took to complete:

TaskID Year Month Day Hour Minutes Seconds
8367 0 1 4 6 21 19
9221 0 0 0 2 14 27
0288 0 0 0 8 01 16
7741 0 0 2 1 18 16

Thus, task 9221 above took 2 hours, 14 minutes and 27 seconds to complete. I can, if required, change the format of the above to make the following analysis easier.

I just want to group the results by a number of time bands and count up the number of tasks in each band, so that I can determine that x tasks took under 2 hours to complete, y tasks took 2-4 hours etc.

If there are no obvious modules to do this I'm sure I can do it without too much trouble - I just thought that there was no point in re-writing something if it already existed.
