Hi everyone,

I figure you can all learn from my mistake.
I have a customer with a legend R6.1 V11 and was trying out a firmware upgrde card to see if it would fix some intermitent problems and Keep them up to date. Anyway I sucessfully upgraded 2 MLX GS/LS-U cards in the system, and with out thinking I tried to upgrade the firmware in the 016TTR (No U) and it started to upgrade and at 97% it Failed saying it was a memory error. After many attemps it kept failing. So now the card does not work and under system inventory it says Application Vintage FF. Luckily I was able to find an old 012 and power supply with a ring generator in it, and got them back in service with their voice mail.

So Be Careful there was NO WARNING that the card was not upgradable.

~Don,
The "U" you were referring to stands for "upgradable". IF the card didn't have the "U" suffix, that is the warning that is probably is not upgradable. Next time, you might try it in the shop first, or give Avaya a call to make sure you are doing it correctly, rather than experimenting on a customer's switch. It will save you a lot of headaches...

Follwing this thread, does anyone know the highest version of Legend Release 7.0?

Is it V10.0 or is there a V11.0?

I hear that there were some problems with PRI in R7V9. Were they resolved in V10?

The last upgrade card for the CKE3 & CKE4 processors is
7.01.42 I have used this upgrade many times and have no
problems.
