Hi

We have a modular messaging system that is integrated via DSE (type 7434ND).
Recently we changed our PRI carrier which went as well as most carrier changes do. However after moving to the new carrier we found that no longer get proper envelope information when listening to messages. If we press 5 for envelope info while listening to a message, we still get date and time information but the "from" number gets consistently cut off after the 1. For example we hear "received today at 12:00pm from 1" and thats it.... we never get the rest of the phone number.
I have checked the settings on the voice mail 7434ND ports as well as the end user station ports and all match what is in the config notes (CN88002-w).

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what else I can look at?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The new carrier is not sending the ANI or it is not in the right format.

What shows up on a display phone ?

We actually had to play with the display a bit as well. We found that when we switched carriers, we did not get the caller ID name and sometimes not the number either until the call was picked up or transferred, then the name/number would appear.

We changed a setting page 2 of the trunk group known as "US NI Delayed Calling Name Update?"; We changed it to a Yes and then were getting the number and name every time on the phone displays.
I assume that this may be related to not getting ANI from the carrier.?.?.?.

Yes but are you saying that now you get it on the phone but still not in MM?

Thats correct. And the carrier is stating that they are sending the ANI as well, so I'm not sure what else to check in the PBX or MM to correct the issue.

Are you getting the name or the number on the phone? it sounds like you are getting the name. Or are you getting the number after you pick the call up ?

If that is the case then i don't see how the mm would be getting the number of the caller.

It would not be anything in the MM as it was all working fine till you changed carriers so whether the carrier likes it or not it sure sounds like their problem to me.

If you do not see the name until the call is answered then again the mm will not be able to see that as it must be sent as the call comes in.

See if they can change the order of the name/number so the number will be first.
