Modular Messaging Dial-by-Name problem

I have this feature on my auto-attendant, when extenal callers come in and are routed to an extension via dial-by-name they go straight to voicemail (do not ring ext). If I call internally (to the vdn) it works fine, so if MM sees 10 digits calling it goes to the mailbox... if it sees 5 (my ext lenght) it transfers as expected.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?
