Current Version MM 5.2.1 sp 9 patch 3

Currently on both MAS servers their is a location for log files C:\Avaya_Support\Logs. I would like for these files to be deleted after 6 months. I have looked in the VMSC under Auditing it says Audit Event Retention days 180 but I have files that are 2 years old. If I'm understanding the Auditing Tab in VMSC this is for the MM audit log view application on the MAS to look at events also Under the Auditing Tab it says for a Database server database name database instance. Acutually these files are log files not a Database. It appears I'm not looking in the right area. I know I can go in and delete these files from the folder, but how do I set this up automatically to delete the log files in location C:\Avaya_Support\Logs.

Thanks
TB

Look under C:\Avaya_Support\Tools\MM_Logging and double-click MMLogging.exe. It will launch the Verbose Logging Configuration where you can define the number of logs that each category (Voice, MWI, Fax Sender, MM Server, Call Me, Tracing, WSO, WSPhoneDebugLog, Offline, MMAudit, Client and Alarming) are kept on the system under the Logs subdirectory of Avaya_Support.

AtAvaya the link you provided no longer works on the Avaya Support site but thanks for the try.

Kepetersen thanks for the insite of the MMLogging.exe but it acutally doesn't delete anything unless the hard drive fills up which I'm trying to avoid. I See all the verbose logging options turned on which ones really need to be turned on? I guess I have to manually delete these files. I will try and find a script that will do this for me automatically and let you know.

Thanks
Again.

So you are saying that when you pullup the MMloging and tell it to delete the files under that tab you are accessing it does not remove them ? If this is the case then it may be pointed to a different location i would try looking for more files on the while system or a share as well.

I was trying to find a way on the MAS to delete the log files automatically without having to manual delete the log files via the MMlogging app. I deleted the files, the original question was to have the log files delete automatically after a threshold of some sort. The MMlogging threshold is when the hard drive files up.

I see. Yes i have seen many systems where it works and a few where it just does not work at all.
