Modular Messaging Announces Voice Messages that Don't Exist

We have a voice-only (no corresponding Outlook account) Modular Messaging account that, upon logging in, announces there is one voice mail message. After pressing 2 to retrieve the messages, it announces there are no voice mail messages. Any ideas? Thanks.

2 doesnt sound like the right button. We are using the defaults and 1 is for voice messages and 2 is for email.
